Jag är inte säker på om du kommer ihåg, men ett par år tillbaka (2007?) staden Sydney avstängd alla icke väsentliga lampor i en timme för att öka medvetenheten om behovet av att bekämpa klimatförändringarna. Det “Earth Hour” har nu spridit sig runt om i världen, och, väl, idag är dagen.
Earth Hour kommer att ske vid 8:30 till 9:30 pm your local time.
What can I do?
Igen, in Earth Hour you turn off all non-essential lights and other electronics. That means you shouldn’t go around and turn off all the streetlights you can find (that would lead to mass chaos.) Instead, you should turn off:
- Computers (surely you can stay off Facebook for an hour… kanske…)
- TVs
- The lights outside your house
- Lamps
- Phone chargers (unplug them, you should do this anyway)
